Nehru Memorial Museum in Delhi
 Late Shri Jawaharlal Nehru considered being the father of Indian Independence. The Nehru Memorial Museum & Library (NMML) is a library in New Delhi, India, which aims to preserve and reconstruct the history of the Indian independence movement. The Nehru Memorial Museum, New Delhi is a yellow colonial mansion. The place was the residence for Nehruji till his death in the year 1964. The things which were present there are still untouched. The place is now converted to a museum and serves to be an archive of the history of Indian Independence movement.
History of Nehru Memorial Museum
It housed within the Teen Murti House complex, it is an autonomous institution under the Indian Ministry of Culture, and was founded in 1964 after the death of India's first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. It aims to foster academic research on modern and contemporary history. Today, the Nehru Memorial Library is the world’s leading resource centre on India’s first prime minister and its archives has the bulk of Mahatma Gandhi's writings apart from private papers of C. Rajagopalachari, B. C. Roy, Jayaprakash Narayan, Charan Singh, Sarojini Naidu and Rajkumari Amrit Kaur . In March 2010 it launched a digitization project of it archived, under which by June 2011, 867,000 pages of manuscripts and 29,807 photographs were scanned and 500,000 pages uploaded on the digital library website. Amongst noted publications of the NMML are Selected Works of Jawaharlal Nehru, Man of Destiny by Ruskin Bond, Nehru Anthology (1980) and Nehru Anthology.

The Nehru Memorial Museum, New Delhi is located in Lutyen’s New Delhi, Teen Murti Bhavan or Teen Murti Road. The main focus of the museum is Nehru’s bedroom, study room and the drawing room. The visitors can have a look from outside the glass covering. The rooms have the best teak wood panels and the high ceilings.
Timings, Closing Day
Timings: The museum is open from 10am to 5 pm. Visitors can visit this place within this time.
Closing Day: It remains closed on the Mondays. The tourists must visit this place while on a tour to Delhi.
