The artifacts that are featured at the museum are varied. There are hundreds of Thangka paintings at the Tibet House1museum. These paintings include silk textures and many scenes of deities and events in the history of Buddhism. There are also several statues of varying sizes at the Tibet House. These statues include ones that have been made with copper and bronze materials. There are more than a hundred statues on display here. The most notable artifacts at the Tibet House are the Tankhas from the fifteenth century. These are large scrolls that have elaborate and colored paintings of the life of Buddha on them. These scrolls have all been arranged to tell the full story of Buddha's life. There are even some ancient books and texts from Tibet here. These are located in the Tibet House Library and Resource Centre. There are more than four thousand texts in the library. Most of them are in Tibetan while others are in English.

The best attraction of the Tibet House Museum is the painted rolls of the 15th century. These are called as tangkhas. There are pictures of monasteries, and Buddha figures. The museum also displays musical instruments; old currency notes, sculptures and several other things that attract the attention of the visitors. The museum not only displays the work from Tibet but from the colonies near to it.

The Tibet House Museum is located very near to the Pragati maidan metro station though the functional metro station is the central Secretariat. The tourists can take the local buses, taxies or auto rickshaws to reach the place. The place is a rich cultural p-lace and the visitors love to stroll round the museum to enjoy the best of Tibetan history.

Timings amd Closing Day

The Tibet House Museum remains open everyday except on Saturdays and Sundays. The visiting hours for the tourists are 9.30 A.M. TO 1 P.M. and 2 P.M. TO 5.30 P.M.
